Marten River Lodge sits on the boarder of zones 40 and 41 and as the lodge is not eligible for the moose tags handed out by the Ministry of Natural Resources hunters must apply on their own and may apply for either district. Usually the larger groups are successful in their applications, however individuals have had some luck. The lodge is surrounded by Crown land with miles of old logging roads and acres of marshes to hunt in. Our moose population is on the increase and many of our fishermen have reported sightings this season.
